Katy Perry responds to viral photo of Orlando Bloom looking at Kim Kardashian while stood next to her

A few days ago Orlando Bloom was snapped standing behind his partner Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian, with his gaze appearing to fall on a particular behind.

Now his fiancée has responded.

Bloom and Perry had been attending the Kering Caring for Women Dinner on 9 September, which Kardashian was also at when the picture was taken.

Since then Katy Perry went on The Elvis Duran Show, and he couldn’t resist the opportunity to ask her about the picture.

“It’s you taking a photo with Kim Kardashian, yes, and Orlando is staring at her butt,” Duran said.

If people were waiting for Perry to say that Orlando Bloom was in the doghouse they were going to be disappointed, as her response was: “I approve.”

Duran read out an article from TMZ on the subject, to which Perry interjected: “So wait, what’s the controversy?”

When the host said there wasn’t really any controversy, the singer said ‘oh great, count that click honey’ so it seems as though there’s not going to be a cataclysmic schism between them over the subject of Kim Kardashian’s rear end.

Their relationship has weathered a few things over the years, including the time they spent a year apart back in 2017.

They’d been dating for about 10 months at the time and Perry said that the year-long split ‘saved her life’ as when they started off they ‘weren’t really in it from day one’.

Instead of sticking together and trying to tough it out, they split apart, worked on themselves for a year and successfully rekindled the relationship.

“I would not be on this planet without that process and meditation,” she explained to Alex Cooper on her Call Her Daddy podcast.

“Because the noise got so large. When Witness came out and things started to shift, and I thought I really loved myself.

“I thought I really had that centre, but actually that core was created from outside validation.

“It just helped me rewire what I think about myself, and it helped me connect my head to my heart.”

Picking up their relationship again in 2018, Bloom and Perry were engaged the following year and in 2020 the couple welcomed a daughter together.

Meanwhile, attention on Bloom and Perry is already shifting from that photo to his reactions to her performance at the VMAs.
