Is Jon Bon Jovi giving love a bad name?
The rocker gave insight into his and wife Dorothea Hurley’s marriage while sharing advice for son Jake Bongiovi and future daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown on “Good Morning America” Thursday.
“The magic for me has just been growing together with Dorothea,” the Grammy winner, 62, said — but admitted that “every day is a challenge and a change.”
The rocker has been married to Dorothea Hurley since 1989.
He added, “But if you’re growing together, hopefully things will work out.”
The singer went on to joke that his 21-year-old son and the “Stranger Things” actress, 20, aren’t “going to listen” to his words of wisdom before tying the knot.
The couple started dating in 2021 and got engaged two years later.
Over the weekend, Bon Jovi confessed to not being a “saint” in their union.
As for Bon Jovi’s own marriage, the songwriter met and fell in love with Hurley, 61, in high school and got married in a Las Vegas elopement.
Since the pair tied the knot in 1989, the musician has not been a “saint” amid “the wonderful clichés of rock stardom” without “being a fool enough to f–k up the home life.”
He confessed as much during an interview with The Independent published Sunday, praising his partner’s “tolerance.”
He gushed about Hurley’s “tolerance” in an Independent interview.
