He’s just released a statement after the baby was born./ Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl admits he cheated on his wife and had a secret baby

Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl has shared that he fathered a baby from another person outside his marriage. The prolific musician took to his Instagram earlier today to announce the news in a statement. In it, he wrote: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Grohl has been married to model and TV producer Jordyn Blum since 2003. The couple first met at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in 2001.

In a 2007 interview with ELLE, Grohl reflected on their first meeting sharing: “When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling.”

“After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again,'” he added.

The pair then tied the knot on August 2, 2003 and welcomed three daughters together Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.

His eldest daughter, Violet Maye, is currently a touring member of the Foo Fighters.

Grohl and Blum were recently spotted together attending London’s Wimbledon tennis tournament in July 2024. The couple were pictured sitting in Royal Box seats alongside other celebrities.

Prior to his marriage with Blum, the multi-hyphenate musician was married to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997.

The couple divorced in 1997, and per a 2007 profile from The Guardian, infidelity was one of the reasons they split up.

Grohl is a staple of the rock music scene, performing as a drummer for Nirvana from 1990 to 1994. He founded the Foo Fighters in 1994, where he assumes the role of lead singer, guitarist, and principal songwriter.

Grohl and other members of the Foo Fighters recently sued former president Donald Trump for using their music during his presidential re-election campaign without their permission.

The band’s song ‘My Hero’ was played at an Arizona rally recently, and a spokesperson for the group told PA news agency: “Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were they would not have granted it.”

UNILAD has reached out to representatives of the Foo Fighters for comment.
